12/18/2015  -   FLU CLINIC UPDATE: Thank you for a great Fall flu season! We have now completed our Saturday clinics as well as evening clinics. Starting Tues, Dec 22nd, we will give flu shots only at the afternoon shot-only clinics. These are walk-in clinics from 1:30-4pm, Tues, Wed, and Thurs afternoons. We will not have clinics on Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve. Also, WE ARE NOW OUT OF FLU MIST. Thank you!
8/22/2015  -   FLU VACCINES: It's that time of year again...for FLU VACCINE CLINICS! The AAP & CDC recommends all children 6 months and older be vaccinated against the flu. We are currently waiting for our shipments to come in, but we will post all clinic dates and vaccine availability as soon as possible. This year, we are launching a new system to reserve a specific clinic date for your family. Simply, email us at fluvaccine@piedmontpediatrics.org by noon the day prior to your planned clinic date. Please include your child's name, DOB, contact#, and requested date. This should increase our efficiency and convenience for you. Please note: THIS RESERVES A DATE AND NOT A SPECIFIC TIME. Please stay tuned as we post updates throughout the season. We look forward to seeing you and keeping you and your family healthy!
5/11/2015  -   NEW ADHD appointment policy: For all patients who routinely take stimulant medications for ADHD, we are implementing a better policy to monitor growth and side effects of these meds. After initially establishing the right medication and dose with your doctor, it is advised that the patient be seen every 3 months during the first year and then every 6 months thereafter for follow-up. Annually, this appt will be the full well-child-check. However, these other quick appts will be for weight, height, blood pressure, and side effect monitoring. These appts may be with your primary doctor or with Barbara Koval, NP, who is specifically trained in ADHD as well. Thank you in advance.
11/2/2013  -   Piedmont Pediatrics is delighted to announce the addition of Barbara Koval, APRN, to our medical team. Barbara, a certified nurse practitioner, joins us after working for 12 years in the children's ER and another pediatric practice. She can see any sick child if your regular doctor is not available. Welcome, Barabra. We're excited you're here!
2/18/2013  -   Piedmont Pediatrics strongly discourages walk-in patients during the week. If you bring your child in on a walk-in basis on Mondays through Fridays, we will offer you an appointment later that day. For this appointment, you may wait or come back at the appropriate time. We try very hard to accommodate every family's needs on the same day, but we also want to honor the appointments previously scheduled in an efficient manner. Starting immediately, there will be an added fee of $35 to your bill if you walk-in during the week and disrupt the daily schedule. Thank you for your understanding.
